The Southern Boone Area YMCA is excited to team up with the Jr. NBA to offer a fun, recreational basketball league for boys and girls in 1st–2nd grade! This league is designed for beginner to intermediate players, with coaches focusing on building fundamentals,
teamwork, and a love for the game while following the Jr. NBA curriculum.
1st–2nd Grade: Players will be placed on teams through a draft process. (Head coach and assistant coaches’ kids will be on the same team.)
GRADES: 1st – 2nd
Teams will be co-ed, unless there are an even number of boys & girls registered (Half-Court)
SEASON: January 9th – February 13th
GAME DAYS: Saturdays
GAME TIMES: Games will start at 8 a.m.
LOCATION: Southern Boone Elementary Gymnasiums
FEE: $60 Y-Member/$85 Non-member
The YMCA is able to provide financial assistance to those who are unable to pay the stated fees for membership and youth sports and programs. The amount of financial assistance is dependent upon the financial need and household size. Please make sure all required documentation is turned in with the application to avoid a delay in processing.

COACHES MEETING
Our program relies on volunteer coaches. All coaches will be required to attend a coaches meeting prior to the season. The meeting will be held November 19th at 7:00 p.m. in the Lee & Sherri Wilbers Group Exercise Room.
