The Southern Boone Area YMCA is proud to partner with NFL Flag to provide flag football for Pre-K through 2nd graders. Two leagues will be split into Pre-K – Kindergarten and 1st grade – 2nd grade. Teamwork, fundamentals and having fun are all points of emphasis we teach when learning football through the flag football model.
GRADES: Pre-K – 2nd
SEASON: September 10th – October 15th
PRACTICES: All practices will be held at the Ashland City Park. Practices will begin around August 21st , 2023. Practice days and times will be determined by individual coaches.
GAMES: All flag football games will be held on Sunday afternoons between 12 pm and 3 pm at the Southern Boone High School Football Field starting September 10th – October 15th. Game schedules will be handed out shortly after the first week of practice.
FEES:
- $55 for Y-members
- $80 for Non-members
Inclement Weather: Games will be played rain or shine. If lightning is present, games will be delayed or rescheduled. Coaches will determine whether or not to cancel the game.
What the player receives:
- NFL Flag reversible team jersey
- Official NFL Flag Football belt and flags
NEW ADDITION: NFL Flag Pro Bowl games
- Date will be October 15th
Our program relies on volunteer coaches. All coaches will be required to attend a coaches meeting prior to the season on Wednesday, August 16th at 6:00 pm at the YMCA. If you would like to coach or assist a team please indicate on the registration form.
