2018 Summer Camp will be held July 2nd – August 24th.



  • Registration fee: $30
  • Weekly fees: $85/week Y-member; $105/week non-member
  • Sliding fees available. Please ask  Y front desk for an Outreach application.

The YMCA offers summer camp for kids from 5 years old to 12 years old. Fun activities that your child will experience include field trips, camp assemblies, special guests and events, swimming, arts and crafts, weekly themes, science, games, super cool counselors, and much more!

We will use the Remind app to send out messages and reminders. Text @ysummer18 to 81010 to sign up for

Need to add or drop a week of camp?   Add/drop may be done by the parent by contacting the YMCA.  Requests to add or drop weeks must be done a minimum of one week prior to date of service.  Requests to add weeks is dependent on availability.

Ages: Summer Camp is for kids 5 to 12 years old.

Registration: Opens April 3rd.

The YMCA also offers scholarship assistance through the Outreach Fund. Any individual who cannot afford the regular fees is welcome to complete an Outreach application available at the front desk.  Click here to download an Outreach application.

July 2nd – July 6th: Show us your camp spirit

Welcome to camp!  Happy Birthday America! This week campers will celebrate our independence by participating in patriotic inspired crafts and games. You won’t want to miss this out as we pay tribute to the red, white, and blue.  Our field trip for this week is to Firley YMCA Rock Climbing Wall.

July 9th – July 13th: Space station vacation

Five, Four, Three, Two, One… BLAST OFF! This week is full of space fun activities. Kids will learn about the planets and conduct space experiments. Our field trip this week is to the Columbia Regional airport to tour the planes.

July 16th – July 20th: Holiday celebration

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! This week campers will get into the holiday spirit as we sing carols and play holiday inspired games. Come join us, it will be a jolly time! Field trip to Runge Nature Center.

July 23rd – July 27th: Animal planet

Lions, tigers, and bears, oh my! This week campers will learn about a animal habitats, the types of food they eat, and much more! Sit back and buckle in as we explore the animal kingdom, you won’t want to miss it! Field trip Missouri University Veterinary School .

July 30th – August 3rd: Super hero’s to the rescue

Put your cape on and get ready for an adventure! This week is about super hero’s, that includes our local community fire fighters and police officers. Our field trip this week is to the Southern Boone County fire station.

August 6th – August 10th: Under the sea

This week is going to be a wet one! Campers will spend the week competing in water activities such as, a water balloon toss. They will learn about sea creatures and much more! Our field trip this week is to the Rock Bridge State Park.

August 13th – July 17th: Around the world in 80 days

Get your passport stamped as we travel around the world visiting different countries to learn their cultures and customs through games, crafts, and food. Filed Trip to Firley YMCA rock wall climbing facility .

Aug 20th – August 24th: Olympic week

Join us as we kick-off the Olympic games! This is a week full of fun sports, competitive games and prizes! Field trip to Bonkers with a pizza party!



Camp Location:
Summer Camp will take place at Ashland Christian Church, 14775 S Hwy DD, Ashland, MO 65010

Field trips are subject to change.

Camp T-Shirt is included in fees and received the first day your child attends camp. Please provide your child’s size when registering. Camp T-Shirt not guaranteed if camp registration is received after June 14th.

Lunch IS NOT provided.  Please send a sack lunch with your child each day.  We will have a refrigerator to store lunches.  Morning and afternoon snack is provided.

Ashland Christian Church is air conditioned, however, campers will spend plenty of time outdoors. Parents/Guardians are required to contact the Ashland Optimist @ 573-657-7665, to buy a pool pass for the summer.  Rates are $50 for individual pass and $150 for family pass that includes 4 family members. Please send sunscreen with your child to camp.
