SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION OPENS MARCH 21st! 

  • Registration fee: $30
  • Weekly fees: $85/week Y-member; $105/week non-member
  • Sliding fees available. Please ask  Y front desk for an Outreach application.

Summer camp will be held July 3-September 1.

The YMCA offers summer camp for kids from 5 years old to 12 years old. Fun activities that your child will experience include field trips, camp assemblies, special guests and events, swimming, arts and crafts, weekly themes, science, games, super cool counselors, and much more!

Need to add or drop a week of camp?   Add/drop may be done by the parent online via your account.  Requests to add or drop weeks must be done a minimum of one week prior to date of service.  Requests to add weeks is dependent on availability.

Ages: Summer Camp is for kids 5 to 12 years old.

The YMCA also offers scholarship assistance through the Outreach Fund. Any individual who cannot afford the regular fees is welcome to complete an Outreach application available at the front desk.  Click here to download an Outreach application.

Weekly Themes (subject to change): 

July 3rd – July 7th   Spirit Week 

Welcome to camp! This week campers will get to know each other and staff as they participate in a variety ice breakers. Each day there will be a new theme to dress up and show your camp spirit. From tie dye, crazy hats, and your favorite sports team day, students will start the summer off full of camp spirit.

July 10th – July 14th   Camp Blast –Off

This week campers will learn about space. Campers will enjoy creating a moon phase chart using Oreos, learning about moon rocks and famous astronauts. This week will be out of this world fun for all. You won’t want to miss this week.

July 17th – July 21st   Disney Fun

This week campers will learn about the famous Missourian, Walt Disney. Campers will work in groups to create their own theme park attraction using Hot Wheel tracks. They will make puppets of their favorite Disney characters and enjoy watching a Disney classic.

July 24th – July 28th   Jurassic Camp

Rooaarr!!! This week campers will learn about many species of dinosaurs. Campers will enjoy digging up fossils and learning about what life was like in the Jurassic era. Campers will also create model dinosaurs. This week will be a blast from the past!

July 31st – August 4th   Superhero Week

This week campers will dress up as their favorite superheroes. They will also make slimy gooey kryptonite gak and create their own comic books. Campers will also learn about some of our real life heroes such as fire fighters, policeman, and their parents.

August 7th – August 11th  Holiday Mash-Up

This week campers will enjoy celebrating their favorite holidays such as Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, Halloween, and much more. Campers will enjoy an Easter egg hunt, holiday party, and learning about holidays in different cultures. This week will be full of fun as we mash- up the holidays.

August 14th – August 18th   Book Fair Week

This week will be filled with games and activities focused our favorite books. Campers will have a reading block party where they can bring a snack and read their favorite book. Campers will also be able to purchase books at our Summer Scholastic Book Fair. Hope to see you there!

August 21st – August 25th  Splish Splash

This week is going to be a wet one! Campers will spend the week competing in water activities such as water balloon toss, bowl pass, soaking sponge launch, and much more! You won’t want to miss this week!

August 28th – September 1st  Camp Rewind

This week campers will decide which theme they enjoyed most during the summer and repeat it one last time. Campers will also create scrapbooks to commemorate all the fun times over the summer and the memories they made with friends.

Summer Camp will take place at Ashland Christian Church, 14775 S Hwy DD, Ashland, MO 65010

Field trips are subject to change.

Camp T-Shirt is included in fees and received the first day your child attends camp. Please provide your child’s size when registering. Camp T-Shirt not guaranteed if camp registration is received after June 14th.

Lunch IS NOT provided.  Please send a sack lunch with your child each day.  We will have a refrigerator to store lunches.  Morning and afternoon snack is provided.

Ashland Christian Church is air conditioned, however, campers will spend plenty of time outdoors.  We recommend contacting the Ashland Optimist to buy a pool pass for the summer.  Rates are $50 for individual pass and $150 for family pass that includes 4 family members. Please send sunscreen with your child to camp.
